One application will give you access to all the Games hosted at Mind Blast, and any future Games that are added. Mind Blast is designed to be fun, and light weight yet also keeping a high level of writing and character development. Why join us? Our Current Games Celestial Illusions An Anita Blake style RPG set in the city of Las Vegas. The Master of the City went mad, and as a result an execution was sanctioned. There is now a new Master of the City, however, the switch over of power is not going smoothly though and the city's preternatural community is splitting. Those loyal to the old Master believe that there was foul play and are trying to prove that the new Master, an old friend of the former Master is responsible. Welcome to Las Vegas, a City where everything could change on the toss of a coin. Dark Pretenses The University of Reading, UK, is home to many students and not all of them are human. A safe haven for supernaturals, the death of several members of their community has rocked their world. Have hunters entered the area or is something more sinister at foot? Studying, partying, magic and vampires - just a normal University.. right? Stonehythe The world of Azzaria has been at war for centuries, all because of a mysterious stone that was stolen by an Elf. The stone has become an item of myth to many, however, there are some who never gave up hope of finding it to gain power, restore peace or simply study it. When the stone resurfaces in Stonehythe after centuries all the races of Azzaria race to find out if the sighting is real. Azzaria is in a time of great change. Whether it is for the better or the worst, that is yours to decide. Brand New! Clan Tempest Based loosely in L.J.Smith's Night World, the Tempests are a unique species created out of a series of events that began with one woman's search for immortality. She sacrified her two children, Layla and Hakeem, and although her spell failed it changed them into something new; a Tempest. With the ability to control an element, to shapeshift into an animal and a bird, and mind powers, they are a combination of all three of the Night World species. Welcome to Earth-28, a fictional Alternative Earth very similar to New Earth, except that all the Justice League's kids (even those who prematurely died/grew older/don't exist in current canon but do exist in canon!Elseworlds) coexist, are about the same age and are on their journey to become heroes. With group narrative roleplay, as well, as fun side stories, we explore what it means to be a child, and have super powers. Characters from the DC Universe are welcome. Superheroes' kids are especially welcome. Original Characters are also welcome, as long as they don't mess up with canon too badly. Join the new generation of justice now! Mind-Blast.net // Multi-Genre RP Forum [Saturday, July 2nd, 2011] artisticchardon Mind-Blast.net is an RPG forum that caters for several different RPG Games at once. The idea of the forum is an emphasis on the roleplay itself rather than all the OOC bits and bobs. Members only need to apply to join the board itself rather than each individual game. Once their application has been approved they are free to join any game hosted here. It is then up to the members to create a character, post a character profile and following the rules of each game. There are no set timelines in the games, and members are catergorised 'Roleplay Grades' which show other members how many times they are able to post each week. This is so that RPers can roleplay at a pace that suits them with others that post at a similar pace. In other words; roleplay how you want to. This doesn't mean that there are no rules or guidelines here at Mind-Blast.net. The normal no powerplaying, god modding and other roleplaying ettiquette rules exist, and we maintain an intermediate to advanced level of writing. This means that Mind-Blast.net is not suitable for beginners. There will be a moderator per game to oversee the game, but otherwise the game is in the hands of the players themselves. Currently there are three active games at M-B.net and more will be added in the future. Members can petition to have a Game added to M-B.net at any time. One thing you will come to notice about the Games here; they always feature original characters. Even if a game is set in a fandom universe canon characters are not accepted. Dark Pretenses is an old game of mine that has reopened here on M-B.net. It is a supernatural/urban fantasy game set in the University of Reading, UK, and features original species and ideas. Celestial Illusions is an game based in the Anita Blake universe created by Laurell K Hamilton, featuring original characters and plot.
